SCOPE:Demolition of the 1950’s toilet block and construction of new drainage and concrete paving

The toilet block was constructed on a suspended reinforced concrete roof slab above an underground car park, and adjacent the busy shopping centre and petrol station.
The demolition work included:
- Construction of timber site hoardings
- Isolation of services
- Conceptual design & installation of temporary propping of the car park roof slab
- Conceptual design & installation of temporary propping and scaffold of the toilet block roof slab
- Removal of the reinforced concrete roof slab and asbestos containing shuttering by controlled saw cutting and lifting
- Demolition and clearance of the remaining structure
- Construction of new drainage and concrete paving
