This project was the replacement of a disused HORSA building with a new play area complete with fencing, artificial grass and storage facilities.

C. Jackson & Sons were appointed Principle Contractor for the works which were carried out during school summer holidays.

Logistically this was a difficult site with restricted vehicular access and a tight working area.

Asbestos was extensively throughout the building. Jackson Environmental removed asbestos insulation from the boiler room, asbestos cement roof sheets, vinyl floor tiles and asbestos containing floor tile adhesive.

The building was demolished using our 5 tonne excavator and all debris removed using our in house waste transport.

A new bow top fence and gates were installed and the existing building slab was repaired and covered with artificial grass.

The project was successfully completed one week ahead of programme.
