Site: Bute Street car Park Luton

C Jackson & Sons were awarded the contract to remove the multi storey car park to make way for future regeneration of the area.

Located in Luton town centre and covering 24,000m² the substantial 30m high steel frame and reinforced concrete multi-storey car park was removed in 20 weeks using 6 of our specialist demolition excavators including 2 high reach rigs all fitted with demolition attachments.

A total of 1030 tonnes of constructional steel and 270 tonnes of steel reinforcing and other grades was recovered and sent for recycling.

Over 6,000 tonnes of concrete was crushed on site using our 50 tonne tracked crusher and sold to the local construction market.
